Artist Sara Sutton worked with real images of the company’s helmet to get every detail just right, making Captain Honkers a true feathered firefighter. Strong, brave, and a little bit loud, he’s here to honor the heroes who keep our community safe.

NAVIGATOR: Finding the Juniata Valley a Great Place to Land
With wings stretched wide, NAVIGATOR is a love letter to the Juniata Valley. Artist Jim Bright pedaled through backroads with a sketchbook and camera in hand, capturing colors, landscapes, and hidden gems that often go unseen from a car window. Each scene is carefully woven into a wraparound painting, celebrating the valley’s beauty at the slower, savoring pace of a bike ride—or a waddling goose. As one of the very first geese in the flock, NAVIGATOR reminds us that sometimes the best discoveries happen when we take our time.

The Old Hook & Eye
All aboard! The Old Hook & Eye celebrates the arrival of the famous olive-green engine that once wowed the Juniata Valley. Before this beauty, every train was plain black—so its red-outlined windows and colorful stained glass in the passenger cars were a true spectacle. Artist Daphne Marthouse brought the past to life using only black-and-white photos, carefully painting the details in full color. Want to see more pieces of history? One of the original stained-glass windows now shines at the Kish Valley Museum, while others sparkle at Swarey’s Orchard in Belleville.

And here’s a cosmic secret: bring a black light and you’ll uncover glowing stars painted in reactive paint! This celestial goose is truly out of this world.

Harvey the Harvest Goose
Fall fun takes flight with Harvey the Harvest Goose! Painted for Bilger’s Pumpkins, Harvey is bursting with autumn spirit—plus a few familiar Snoopy friends from the farm’s iconic signs. Don’t forget to peek under his tail for a hidden surprise (if you dare!). This festive fella also claimed fame as the 2024 Gaggle of Geese Showdown champion, as voted by readers of the Lewistown Sentinel. A true gourd-geous goose!

Lucky Clutch the Pysanky Goose
